Overnight Boarding

Your dog boards where your dog already plays

Boarding here is not a kennel your dog has never seen before. It is the same building, the same play groups and the same people, with a bed at the end of it.

The kennels

Climate controlled, with modern fire suppression and alarm systems throughout the building. Boarding dogs join daycare play groups during the day rather than sitting in a run, so they go home tired instead of wound up.

  • Climate controlled kennels
  • Modern fire suppression and alarm systems
  • Daytime play with the regular daycare groups
  • Staff trained in dog CPR and first aid

Before you book

Boarding is for assessed dogs

Overnight boarding is available to customers who have completed a daycare assessment and are current on their shots. If your dog has not been assessed yet, start there.

Drop off

Boarding drop-off is by 12:00pm.

Pick up

Pick-up on the last day is by 12:00pm. After that your dog joins the groups, so the day is charged at the daycare rate.

Reservations

Reservations are required for overnight stays, though we can often take a last-minute booking. It never hurts to call.

What to bring

Packing for a boarding stay

  • Pre-measured food in labeled containers, one per meal
  • Any medication in its original packaging. We give injections too, including insulin
  • Current vaccination records, if anything has been renewed since your last visit
  • Your contact numbers and an emergency contact who can answer

Yes, we give medication. That includes insulin and other subcutaneous injections. Bring it in the original packaging and we take it from there: locked cabinet, details logged, one staff member responsible, handed to your dog and watched until it is taken, then signed off on their stay card. Depending on what is involved there may be a fee.

Boarding questions

Is someone at the facility overnight?

Once we have 25 dogs boarding, yes. The Town of Medway kennel bylaws require an overnight staff member at that point, and we follow it.

Can you give my dog medication during a stay? Is there a charge?

Yes, and that includes insulin and other subcutaneous injections. Bring medication in its original packaging and we store it in a locked medication cabinet.

Every detail goes into our system and a sign-off section is printed on your dog's stay card. One staff member handles medication. They hand it to your dog directly, wait to make sure it has actually been taken, and then sign it off. There may be a fee depending on what is involved.

Do you have holiday rates?

Yes. Boarding is $85 a night over a holiday instead of $75, and the holiday rate also covers the weekend either side of it and every day between Christmas and New Year's Day. The full list of which days count is on the pricing page.

How far in advance should I book for holidays?

We recommend about 30 days ahead for holidays. Having said that, we can often fit in a last minute request, so it is always worth calling to ask.

Planning a trip?

Call or text and we will tell you straight away whether we have room. Holiday weeks fill up first.
