Every new dog does a free assessment day before booking daycare or boarding. It costs nothing, it tells us how your dog does in a group, and it tells you whether this is the right place.

The process

Three steps, one morning

  1. Get your dog's records to us

We need a rabies certificate, bordetella, distemper and a copy of your town dog license. The easiest route is to ask your vet to email the records to us directly before your assessment. Send them to TopDogDaycare@icloud.com.

  2. Come in for the free assessment

We run assessments every day and mornings are best. Plan on leaving your dog at least four hours so we can see how they settle in with a group rather than how they behave in the first ten minutes. There is no charge, and if it goes well your dog is welcome to stay the whole day.

  3. Book whatever you need

Once your dog is assessed you can book daycare days and overnight boarding. Most people settle into a regular pattern within a couple of weeks.

Requirements

What we need before the first visit

What vaccinations do you require?

Rabies, with the certificate, plus bordetella and distemper, and a copy of your dog's town license. We also ask that your dog is on a flea and tick preventative. Your vet can email records to us before your evaluation.

Does my dog need an assessment first?

Yes. We do assessments every day and mornings are best. Plan on leaving your dog at least four hours. There is no charge for the assessment day, and your dog is welcome to stay all day.

Do you require spay or neuter?

Yes. Good candidates for daycare are healthy, spayed or neutered, well-socialized dogs. Puppies must be at least twelve weeks old.

Are there breed restrictions?

Pit bulls and pit bull mixes are the one case we will not decide from a form. Rather than rule them out by breed, we ask you to call first so we can meet your dog and see how they do alongside a group. We cannot promise a place in advance, and if it is not the right fit we will say so honestly, but we would rather meet the dog than turn one away on breed alone.

Booking

Book online, once your dog is assessed

Our booking page handles daycare, boarding and grooming, and sells packages too. It knows you by your phone number, so it is the quick route once you have been in.

Brand new? Start with the three steps above. There is nothing to book online until your dog has done their free assessment day, so send the records first and we will get you in.

Meet and greet

Not ready to book? Come look around first

Tell us how to reach you and we will set up a time for you to walk through, meet the staff and ask whatever you want to ask. No obligation and no sales pitch.

Requests go to Fred and Dawn directly. We answer texts in about fifteen minutes and email within one business day.

Would rather just call?

That works too, and honestly it is what most people do. We are here seven days a week.
